Miller Industries has introduced a foot option on the hydraulic jack legs on their popular Vulcan V-30 and Century 3212. The foot has been adapted from the Holmes 600-R rotator and manually extends to provide an additional spread of 40 inches for stability when winching to the side and is ideally suited when ordered with a SP 12000 Sidepuller .... more information ...

Chevron has just introduced their new Model 512 integrated towing and recovery unit. The 512 features a 12 ton retracted recovery boom with dual in-line planetary winches complete with air free spool and 150’ of 7/16 wire rope.  The recovery boom at full extension reaches 71 inches past the tailboard when horizontal and can be elevated up to 41 degrees.   Read More....

Recently, the towing and recovery industry turned out in force for the 2011 Florida Tow Show in Orlando. At the recent American Towman Expo in Baltimore, Miller Industries gave away a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle to one lucky show attendee. Names were collected over the course of the weekend and then the grand prize winner's name was pulled on Sunday afternoon at the end of the show. American Towman Publisher Dennie Ortiz-Sorrenti assisted "Magic Boy" with the name drawing as excitement in the Miller booth mounted. The winner of the new Harley was Chase Davenport of North Carolina, who was congratulated by Ortiz-Sorrenti and Miller Industries VP of Marketing Randy Olson. View photos of the winner ...

This integrated towing and recovery unit was originally designed for versatility and weight savings in single-axle applications. And it still succeeds in this mission. For increased storage and to supply you with the equipment you need on your carriers, Miller Industries has developed an LCG basket kit. The kit contains two wire baskets that fit behind the 48” tool compartments that are common on most carriers. Do not operate, walk, or stand behind the carrier bed during operation. Please emphasize to all of your operators that it is critical to follow the recommended safety practices for operation of the car carrier. We are aware of instances of a vehicle being released unexpectedly during winching onto a carrier bed. This can occur due to cable failure, improper engagement of the winch free spool device, or other mechanical or human error. Please remember to follow this critical safety precaution as set forth in the Operations Manual Section I- “Safety Precautions”.

Miller Industries brought a new twist to its popular "On Call 24/7" magazine at this year's Florida Tow Show in Orlando. Miller debuted a broadcast version of the magazine, called "On Call 24/7 Live," at the show, and created a short video that includes demos, show units, operator interviews and more. Miller Industries has introduced a new front pivoting stabilizer leg option for the Century 1130 and 1140 rotators. The innovative RXP Front Stabilizers are similar in design and function to the SP 850, which has been popular with Miller Industries' heavy-duty integrated models that provide plenty of side recovery capabilities but with minimal lane blockage. Equipped with a Vulcan V-70 Debuts in Florida

Miller Industries introduced the hit of the 2010 Florida Tow Show in Orlando earlier this month with the debut of the new limited-edition Harley-Davidson LoneStar truck from International, equipped with a Vulcan V-70. Although the sleek-looking wrecker drew plenty of admiring glances and comments, it was Mario, Nic and Darlene Moretto of Mario's Towing in Kelowna, B.C., Canada, who took the truck home.

“We noticed the truck right away,” said Nic Moretto, who helps run the family-oriented towing business with his parents. “You can't miss it. As beautiful as it is, our plan is to put that truck on the road and work it immediately. We'll send it out on big recoveries right away because, after all, the Miller product stands up to the job. It's being driven up right now and we're unveiling it tomorrow, on Wednesday. And after that, as my dad says, 'work it, work it, work it.'“

Currently, several more limited-edition Harley-Davidson LoneStar trucks with Miller's specifications for a towing and recovery unit are on order and will be available with a new Century or Vulcan heavy-duty unit from your local Miller distributor. Miller Industries is Proud to Support the International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame & Museum & the Survivor Fund.

Miller Industries is proud to present a $4,000 check to the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum during the 2010 Florida Tow Show in Orlando, Florida. Accepting the check on behalf of the museum was the museum's president, Rolfe Johnson.

Miller Industries has been a supporter of the museum, which is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, since it was dedicated in 1995. Miller's donation also benefits the museum's Survivor Fund, which offers assistance to families of towers who lose loved ones in the line of service. The $4,000 check represents the proceeds from recent Rotator Schools that Miller Industries held for its customers at the museum's learning center and at Miller Industries' Ooltewah, Tennessee, manufacturing facility.

“We at Miller Industries enjoy supporting the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum,” said Miller Industries' John Hawkins. “The museum represents our heritage as towers and we realize the importance of celebrating that heritage. We are fortunate to have the museum located so close to our headquarters and we try to host events like the Rotator School there regularly so our customers can enjoy it as well.”

Over twenty employees of Miller Industries recently completed a WreckMaster Certification program at the International Towing & Recovery Museum in Chattanooga, TN. The two day class was conducted by WreckMaster instructors David Bouvia and Scott Aey and included both hands on and classroom training.
